GENESIS OF FRANS SCHLOOZ SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE
The long awaited dream of the Salesians of Varadhai Don Bosco has come to reality in the form of Franz Schlooz School of Excellence. It had its genesis on 6 th June 2019, in the presence of Fr. Antony Joseph, Provincial of the Province of Trichy, Fr. Aginal, the Vice Provincial of the Province of Trichy, Fr. Arul Maran, the Director of the Cauveri Developmental office, Fr. Francis Xavier, the Rector and Correspondent of Frans Schlooz School of Excellence (FSSE), Fr. Selvakumar, the Principal of the FSSE and all the other Salesian community members, both teaching and non teaching staffs of DBHSS and FSSE and parents and students of FSSE. The School was blessed by Fr. Provincial and Fr. Vice Provincial cut the ribbon and opened renovated school building. During the inaugural function Fr. Rector briefed the history and status of the educational system of Don Bosco. Fr. Provincial wished the parents and explained the importance of being educated in Don Bosco institution. Fr. Selvakumar introduced the teachers to the parents and students. The climax of the programme was that the children were given Nuts (to emphasize the education for good health), Rose (to emphasize the education to love nature), and Balloon tied in a pencil (to emphasize that education is happy learning). They were asked to sit in the chair placed on the stage and the children started waving the balloons for the music. The whole scene made us feel the presence of Holy Spirit during creation as it had hovered over water during creation. The programme came to an end with a hymn to Don Bosco.
